Job description

As a Barclays HR Process Advisor, you will become a member of the HR Operations team, delivering services and transformation to HR and the broader business. You will work in a team environment, providing guidance and resolving queries based on policies and processes within agreed timelines with accuracy to ensure effective administration of HR processes and systems.

Essential Criteria:
  • Experience in an administration role
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • High standards and results delivery with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Effective communication, listening, email writing, and questioning skills
  • Ability to understand and apply instructions for daily transactions
  • Can-do attitude and enthusiasm
Valuable Skills:
  • Familiarity with HR systems (e.g., Workday, ServiceNow)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

This role is based in Northampton and supports the US region, with working hours from 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm under a hybrid working policy.

Purpose of the Role

To deliver HR services and support to Barclays colleagues, candidates, alumni, and third-party vendors.

Accountabilities
  • Execute HR operational activities aligned with policies, including performance management, rewards, benefits, and learning operations.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including orientation, documentation, and exit interviews.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant employee data in HR systems, ensuring privacy and reporting needs.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures to stakeholders.
Analyst Expectations
  • Deliver specialist advice and support to meet stakeholder needs
  • Perform activities timely and to high standards, impacting related roles
  • Possibly lead or supervise a team, supporting development and resource allocation
  • Manage own workload and participate in broader projects if individual contributor
  • Ensure work meets internal and stakeholder requirements
  • Provide expert advice within own work area
  • Take ownership of risk management and control strengthening
  • Understand how teams contribute to broader objectives
