A leading HR consulting firm in Birmingham seeks an HR Policy Consultant for a 6-month FTC. The role involves developing and reviewing HR policies to ensure compliance and alignment with organizational values. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of UK employment law, proven policy development experience, and excellent stakeholder engagement skills. This is an on-site role for three days a week with a competitive daily rate.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled and detail-oriented HR Policy Consultant to join a forward-thinking HR team, helping to shape and strengthen the organisation’s people policies and practices.

Responsibilities

The HR Policy Consultant will take the lead in developing and reviewing HR policies to ensure they remain compliant with evolving employment legislation, reflect current HR best practice, and align with the organisation’s culture, values, and strategic objectives. This role will play a key part in maintaining a fair, inclusive, and legally compliant working environment.

Working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, the postholder will manage the end-to-end policy development process – from research and drafting through to consultation, approval, implementation, and communication. They will also support the delivery of policy-related training and guidance, ensuring policies are well understood and embedded across the business.

This is a pivotal role for a proactive HR professional who combines technical expertise with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
