About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Personal Assistant (PA) to support the Human Resources Director . This is a pivotal role within our HR department, providing high-level administrative and secretarial support to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, supporting a wide range of HR initiatives within a respected higher education institution.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive diary and email management for the HR Manager.
Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and take accurate minutes.
Draft correspondence, reports, and presentations to a high standard.
Support HR projects, such as staff development programmes, recruitment campaigns, and policy reviews.
Act as a liaison between the HR Manager and internal/external stakeholders.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Assist in monitoring key HR deadlines and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding actions.
About You:
Proven experience in a PA or senior administrative role, ideally within HR or a higher education setting.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable working with HR systems and databases.
Discreet, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential information appropriately.
Desirable:
Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
Experience working in higher education or a similarly complex environment.
