Job summary

Cloudsmith is seeking an HR People Partner to provide proactive HR support to employees and managers across the business. You will help build policies and practices that deliver clarity and consistency and own key projects that shape the employee experience as we scale.

Reporting to the Director of HR, you will partner with the HR Administrator to focus on high‑value work, while ensuring a strong presence in Belfast HQ and flexible in-office attendance.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years' experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within the tech sector.
• HR-related qualification (CIPD or equivalent) desirable.
• Solid knowledge of employment law across NI, GB, and RoI.
• Familiarity with US employment and benefits.
• Experience with hybrid and asynchronous work practices, and using Slack.
• Track record advising managers on employee relations, performance, and conduct issues.
• Experience owning benefits administration across multiple jurisdictions.
• Confident writing and maintaining HR policy, with clarity.

Responsibilities

• Meeting with people managers regularly on team performance, new hire progress, and ad hoc issues; advise on performance and sensitive conversations.
• Administering maternity, paternity, and shared parental leave; maintain HRIS and payroll records.
• Coordinating onboarding with the HR Administrator; deliver inductions and own offboarding, including exit interviews.
• Managing benefits across NI, GB, RoI, US; lead annual benefits review and benchmarking with TA.
• Overseeing L&D workflow and Go1 program; reporting completions and spend.
• Writing and maintaining HR policies across jurisdictions; lead annual policy reviews.
• Owning defined HR projects (employee surveys, US employer portal) and driving process improvements.
• Tracking absence, turnover, engagement, probation outcomes; support statutory reporting; BambooHR data integrity.
