Main Activities and Responsibilities:
- Support, advise, coach, and deliver a range of HR casework including disciplinary, performance, TUPE, reorganisation, redundancy, and absence management, up to and including dismissal and appeals.
- Manage safeguarding investigations and attend Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) strategy meetings as required.
- Provide advice to managers and colleagues on policies and processes across multiple terms and conditions within the group.
- Coach line managers across the UK on employee relations matters, liaising with trade unions when necessary.
- Proactively manage absence cases with line managers to reduce absence rates.
- Provide procedural and policy guidance to colleagues and line managers.
- Collaborate with People Business Partners to enhance People Processes.
- Attend formal meetings and prepare necessary documentation and correspondence.
- Provide updates, insights, and data for monthly Operational Managers meetings.
- Identify training needs and deliver training sessions to line managers on HR casework.
- Review and update People Team policies and procedures in line with legislative changes and best practices.
- Manage HR systems to ensure data accuracy and generate relevant statistics.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience handling a broad range of HR casework at this level.
- Proficiency with HR systems and Microsoft Office.
- A passionate HR professional with up-to-date employment legislation knowledge.
- Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and legislation effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and sensitive approach.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- CIPD qualification at level 5 or above is preferred.
