Job Description:

Dalkia Engineering has a fantastic opportunity for a HR Administrator to join our talented HR Shared Services team in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting our people function, helping to shape the employee experience and ensure the smooth running of HR processes across the business. What you’ll be doing

  • Update the HR system with salary changes, promotions, leavers, and joiners and issues relevant paperwork
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR databases in line with data protection requirements.
  • Assist with HR administrative tasks such as onboarding, maintaining personnel files, and managing the HR inbox ensuring timely responses.
  • Support payroll and benefits administration. Complete payroll sheets.
  • Respond to internal HR-related queries and requests.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law and internal policies.
  • Conduct pre-employment Right to Work in the UK checks via Experian.
  • Assist with various HR projects to enhance service delivery and efficiency.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in an HR administrative role (essential).
  • Confident using Excel and spreadsheets, with the ability to manage and manipulate data effectively.
  • Experience supporting or inputting payroll data (essential)
  • Familiarity with industrial/engineering environments and blue-collar workforce needs is a strong advantage.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • A proactive team player with strong communication skills (written and verbal) and a collaborative approach to supporting colleagues.
  • Previous experience using iTrent, Experian, and DocuSign (essential).
