Job summary

Ashdown Group is seeking an experienced HR Operations Manager - Pay & Reward in London to lead payroll, reward and related systems. The role combines strategic oversight with practical delivery in a hybrid setup, with three days in the London office.

You will own the reward lifecycle, manage the payroll relationship and drive continual process improvements, including reporting and data governance across HR and Finance.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR operations, payroll and reward.
• Experience managing or overseeing a third-party payroll provider.
• Knowledge of the annual pay review and reward cycle.
• Experience with HR/payroll systems, Sage desirable.
• Track record of improving processes, systems and operational efficiency.
• Experience with global mobility or internationally mobile employees.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with senior stakeholders across HR and Finance.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills.
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationship with third-party payroll provider to ensure accurate payroll service.
• Own end-to-end reward lifecycle from salary changes to annual pay reviews.
• Lead the annual pay review process with stakeholders and timelines.
• Align payroll, reward and people data with Finance and HR.
• Maximise Sage payroll system capabilities and automation opportunities.
• Support global mobility processes and related pay/reward considerations.
• Ensure governance, controls and compliance across payroll and reward.
• Review and improve HR operations processes for efficiency.
• Produce and analyse payroll, reward and people data for decisions.
• Provide SME guidance on pay, payroll and reward matters.
