Role and Responsibilities

The HR Operations Senior Payroll Specialist performs day-to-day HR transactions for the Payroll Service Line supporting the UK and Ireland payroll groups. Responsibilities include handling complex calculations, inquiries, escalated tasks, and ensuring end-to-end payroll operations are accurate, timely, and compliant with laws and regulations. The role involves providing support and guidance to customers and colleagues, delivering high-quality services aligned with global performance targets, and maintaining a high customer experience through complete, accurate, and timely HR transactions. The Senior Payroll Specialist supports global HR standards and ensures local legal and regulatory compliance within business processes in HR Operations Front Office / Hub.

Main Accountabilities
  1. Execute and deliver HR services in compliance with business processes, KPIs, and quality targets, demonstrating end-to-end responsibility.
  2. Perform control tasks independently, including 4-eye-check/SOX checks, data protection, and legal/regulatory compliance tasks, following AskHR Way of Working.
  3. Maintain high data quality and documentation accuracy, such as SOPs.
  4. Handle complex payroll calculations, inquiries, and escalated tasks.
  5. Coordinate with external vendors and agencies on payroll matters.
  6. Review payroll inputs to ensure accuracy.
  7. Ensure compliance with local legal and regulatory requirements.
  8. Support team members through task sharing and knowledge transfer.
  9. Deliver HR services with a customer-oriented and proactive attitude.
  10. Engage effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs.
  11. Act as a point of contact for HR-related inquiries and support multiple Service Lines.
  12. Educate customers on policies, processes, and HR tools.
  13. Collaborate within GBS HR Operations and other HR functions to optimize processes and tools.
  14. Identify process deficiencies and recommend improvements.
  15. Lead process improvement activities and participate in quality and audit activities.
  16. Manage RCAs and escalations, driving process enhancements.
  17. Act as an expert in complex business cases/projects, fostering collaboration across countries and functions.
  18. Execute critical HR services and legal responsibilities.
  19. Provide guidance to colleagues.
