I am recruiting for an HR Operations Administrator for Hitachi on a contract basis with TXM, this is a temporary contract to Dec 2025 (may be extended)

Working Monday to Friday 37.5hrs per week 3 days from Home and 2 days from the Ludgate Office

PAYE day pay rate £114.72 orUmbrella day pay rate £157.09

Main Responsibilities
  • Providing a professional and responsive service to customers both internally and externally
  • First line support for employees queries, HRSS, Travel and Benefits
  • Provide information to managers and employees about HR policies, procedures and processes
  • Support all aspects of the company HR activities such as; new starter admin, probations, references, induction, employee changes, leaver process, references, annual salary and bonus reviews.
  • Responsible for maintenance of relevant employee personnel files i.e. contracts, benefits, medical records, training records, competency and appraisals.
  • Monthly Workday (HiNext) audit
  • Goods receipting invoices and creating POs for the HR dept
  • Workday/SAP data entry for new starters, employee changes and leavers.
  • Arranging medicals, OH referrals
  • Managing sensitive and confidential matters including personnel relations, employee relations and organisational changes
  • Support with the monthly payroll data submission
  • Coordinate and deliver new starter induction
  • Carrying out other duties and projects appropriate to the grading of the post as may be directed by the Head of HR Operations
  • To be aware of, actively promote, and implement Hitachi’s ethos, culture and values.
  • To be involved in Hitachi Rail Limited staff development and training and participate in PDP procedures.
  • To adhere to the Hitachi Rail Limited Equal Opportunities Policy.
  • To comply with and implement Hitachi Rail Limited Health and Safety policy.
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as may be required
  • Collate monthly payroll data for external payroll provider

Essential Requirements
  • Previous administrative experience with an HR Department, including contracts and offer letters.
  • Excellent Planning, prioritising and organising skills
  • Awareness and understanding of HR practices
  • Sound knowledge of, and compliance to HR legislation
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work within a pressured environment whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to issue/create contracts and offer letters. Correspondence in accordance to promotions, Bonus and leavers.
  • Able to represent Hitachi Rail Limited in a professional manner at all times
  • Position holder must be able to interface effectively with all levels of personnel both within and outside the company.
  • Intermediate IT skills – typically Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Experience of and commitment to the effective implementation of equal opportunities and CSR policies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Commitment to working as part of a team
  • An understanding of Workday and SAP for HR
Qualifications
  • English & Mathematics GCSE level or equivalent
  • Graduate level or equivalent
Desirable Requirements
  • Previous experience in a rail or manufacturing company
  • CIPD qualified level 3 or equivalent experience
  • SAP/ Workday System experience
The role may require you to travel to other sites across the UK - expenses will be paid
