Department Overview
The
People Services Team is the centralised HR administrative/advisory function. Reporting to the HR Head of People Services, the position is part of a team providing a comprehensive and professional administrative/advisory service to the wider HR team (HR Business Partners (HRBPs), P&R, International Mobility & Recruitment), managers and employees.
Key Responsibilities
Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role
- Advisory: Offering guidance on policies and procedures and query management, i.e., recruitment, family leave, performance, training, background screening, benefits, employee relations, risk awareness.
- Employee Life Cycle Casework: Managing processes such as joiners (including background screening), leavers, probation, contractual changes, family leave, separations, international mobility, references and more. Supporting HRBPs with employee relation cases. Ensuring accurate file maintenance. The People Services team is the first point of contact with for employees and managers for queries related to the different touch points of the employee life cycle.
- Payroll and Reporting: Ensuring timely and accurate submission of payroll instructions, system maintenance, meeting payroll deadlines, and supporting reporting requirements.
- Collaboration and Liaison: Assisting the wider HR team (HRBP’s, P&R, International Mobility & Recruitment), liaising with other departments and managers.
- Regulatory/Legal: Adherence to the Senior Manager Certified Regime (SMCR) and GDPR requirements. Working closely with Compliance and the Operational Design, Control Resilience (OCDR) teams.
- Systems: Using various HR systems to support daily activities. Ensuring Workday data is accurate and maintained in a timely manner.
- Ad hoc: Assistance with implementing new legal/regulatory/group initiatives as and when required.
Candidate Profile
The candidate must be able to work independently and can plan and make priorities without sacrificing on quality and deadlines. They must have excellent communication skills (English - verbal & written) and demonstrate a collaborative mindset to get the job done.
Qualification/Education
- Essential: University degree
Experience/Knowledge
Essential:
- Workday Knowledge
- Previous experience in a HR Operations/People Services environment
- Experience working in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Experience with MS Office tools: PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint
- Experience in interpreting and implementing policies, procedures and controls
Desirable
- Knowledge of ING’s operational set up.
