Job Description:

We are seeking an HR Officer - Employee Relations Specialist for a contract in the public sector. This role offers the opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced environment, working independently with support from an experienced HR team.

About you

  • Associate CIPD
  • Two years' experience advising on HR policies and processes
  • Two years' experience managing disciplinary, grievance, and absence issues
  • Ability to work collaboratively to improve service quality and support colleagues

What you'll do

  • Manage HR and employee relations issues in accordance with policies and legislative requirements, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, and attendance procedures
  • Undertake investigations related to personnel matters
  • Assist with procedures, record keeping, and reporting on HR matters
  • Coordinate responses to requests under legislation such as FOI and data protection
  • Liaise with department managers and advise on sickness absence and Occupational Health
  • Prepare absence management reports for case review panels
