We're looking for a dynamic and high-impact HR Officer to join our client's team!

Job title: HR Officer

Contract: 12 months temporary contract

Location: Birmingham

Daily Rate: £135 per day (DOE)

Our client is a leading provider of transport services in the UK, specialising in patient transport and home-to-school transport for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

They are committed to providing high-quality, passenger-focused transport solutions across various sectors within healthcare.

What You'll Do:

  1. Compliance Champion: Ensure all applicants are fully compliant before they start. Handle references, right to work documents, DBS checks, conduct DBS risk assessments, and report to senior management.
  2. HR Operations: Manage the HR Inbox, produce reports on starters/leavers and employee absence, maintain employee records on HR systems in accordance with GDPR, and support various projects.
  3. Casework Expert: Support line managers with sickness absence and AWOL processes, assist in disciplinary investigations, ensure adherence to best practices, attend casework meetings, and produce related correspondence.

  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Organisational Pro: Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Qualified Professional: CIPD level 5 or equivalent.
