Qualifications

Role Overview: To manage and lead the expansion of HR activities, participate in tenders for potential clients, and manage subsequent TUPE activity. Manage business transformation and consultation processes across multiple contracts. Provide professional advice to managers and employees regarding employee relations, conditions of service, and legal and company procedures across various contracts and locations. Be the HR focal point for developing HR processes and procedures to ensure compliance with current legislation.

What you'll do:

  1. Act as an extension of the HR function, embedded within supported contracts, ensuring HR is part of the senior management team.
  2. Advise on employment legislation, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance, performance management, and effective employee relations.
  3. Lead and manage TUPE activity across contracts, ensuring effective transfer handling and promoting EMCOR as an employer of choice.
  4. Manage consultation processes for business transformation activities, such as restructures, in collaboration with the HR Business Partner.
  5. Support tender activity for new business opportunities with potential clients.
  6. Provide guidance and support to HR Officers and senior HR staff.
  7. Advise line managers and Account Directors on HR issues to minimize risk.
  8. Develop action plans for cases and support managers through procedural stages, ensuring accuracy and professionalism in documentation and communication.
  9. Support development of HR policies and procedures.
  10. Represent the company at hearings and act as a facilitator and arbitrator to resolve cases.
  11. Promote effective communication and manage change through organizational announcements and team briefings.
  12. Advise on employment terms, monitor salary scales, and participate in personnel strategies.
  13. Handle industrial relations matters, including interfacing with Trade Unions.
  14. Oversee annual salary reviews and manage HR IMS documentation, driving continuous improvements.
  15. Act as a process change focal point, liaising with HR colleagues for improvements.
  16. Extensive experience in a senior HR role, preferably in an FM environment, with proven TUPE management and transformation consultation experience. CIPD qualification, employment law knowledge, and strong negotiation skills are required.
  17. Ability to work under pressure, handle large workloads, and operate at a senior level to improve business effectiveness.
