Job description

  • Pay Level: Level 5, starting from £29,227
  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Working Hours: 37 Per Week
  • Location: Observatory House
  • Hybrid: minimum two days a week in the office

What you’ll be doing:

We are looking for a HR Officer to deliver proactive, first-line HR advice and operational support to managers and employees across the organisation. This role will oversee day-to-day HR administration, including the implementation of policies and coordination of Access to Work arrangements. The postholder will also ensure the Council’s compliance with statutory requirements under the Freedom of Information Act and Subject Access Requests (SARs).

As a HR Officer, you’ll work closely with the HR Casework Officer and Employee Relations & Policy Manager, to help shape an inclusive, responsive, and supportive employee experience.

Annual increments, where applicable, are usually payable on 1st April each year, subject to six months service in the post, until the maximum spinal column point of the level has been reached. The payment of annual increments is not automatic and is subject to satisfactory performance as assessed by your Director.
