A UK public services organization in Manchester is seeking an experienced HR officer to provide first line HR advice and support. The ideal candidate will either be CIPD qualified or possess similar HR experience, along with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. This role involves assisting HR Business Partners and maintaining high service levels across HR functions.
We are the final stage for complaints about the NHS in England and public services delivered by the UK Government. We look into complaints where someone believes there has been injustice or hardship because an organisation has not acted properly or fairly or has given a poor service and not put things right.

The PHSO are recruiting for an experienced HR officer to join the team here in Manchester. You will provide high quality first line HR advice, query resolution and support to managers and staff, on policies and procedures to external parties, as appropriate. You will provide general support across all areas of the HR, People and Talent function as and when required to maintain HR service levels. In addition you will support the HR Business Partners in the continuous improvement of HR policy and procedure in line with legal changes and evolving business needs.
The successful candidate will be part CIPD qualified or have similar generalist HR experience. You will have knowledge of HR Information Systems and database applications and, end-to-end HR systems and processes. You will demonstrate excellent organisational skills as well as attention to detail. Experience of handling high volumes of administrative work and managing competing priorities and deadlines is essential.
