Job description

The role of the Human Resources Team isto provide a prompt, effective and efficient advisory HR service to staff andmanagers ensuring adherence to policies and legislation whilst ensuring serviceneeds are met.

The HR team are responsible for supportingand advising on all aspects of employment including managing sickness absence,disciplinary and grievance matters and are involved in organisational changeand review. The team are alsoresponsible for the provision of a recruitment and selection service andwriting and reviewing HR policies to ensure best practice and compliance withlegal requirements. The team also works closely with CPG's payroll providers inthe implementation of the full range of payroll and pension services. Staff benefits are also co-ordinated andadministered via the HR Team.

Range 4 £25,498 - £27,202 - you will be appointed on a fixed salary point within the range.

The role of the HR Officer is to support the HR team in the delivery ofan effective, customer focussed and professional HR service to theorganisation.

You will be part of a team that provides a HR support and advisoryservice to the whole range of services within Care Plus Group. Every day is different as you will manage andprioritise a varied range of duties including all aspects of employee relationswork (i.e. discipline, grievance, sickness absence), recruitment and selection, payroll and general advice, guidance andsupport to staff and managers. You will work independently, however, support andguidance is readily available from within the team. The role provides an excellent opportunity for those who are interestedin all elements of the HR role.

You must be customer focussed and have the ability to provide generaladvice and guidance on employment related matters, as well as having experienceof using Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to produce reports andextract data.

Itis essential that you have the ability to present views clearly and logicallyboth verbally and in writing, have knowledge of employment law, conditions ofservice and best practice and their interpretation and application and haveeffective communication and IT skills.

  • Experience of working in a HR environment (within previous year)
