An educational institution located in Bury seeks an HR Officer to support the HR Manager and oversee recruitment, employee relations, and administration. The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail and have relevant HR experience. This permanent, full-time role involves working 37.5 hours a week throughout the year, providing essential HR services for the school.

We are seeking an HR Officer to join our Human Resources Team. The HR Officer will support the HR Manager in the provision of high-quality HR service for the whole school. The post holder will be the first point of contact for all HR matters including recruitment, selection and employee relations.
The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously and respond accordingly to a change in priorities.
Soft skills such as diplomacy and confidentiality are essential. This is a fast-paced environment which will also involve undertaking administrative work.
You will have experience of working in a HR role perhaps as an Apprentice, Intern or Administrator. You must posses the CIPD Level 3 qualification or be willing to undertake the qualification and possibly work towards the Level 5 qualification. The school would be happy to support the right candidate through the qualification/s.
In this role, you will lead on the schools recruitment and selection processes ensuring that all safer recruitment and pre employment checks are carried out in a timely manner. As part of the on-boarding process you will coordinate induction training for new starters. Additionally, you will work with the HR Manager on employee relations matters, absence concerns and assist in the preparation of various letters.
This is a permanent, full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4:30pm. Please note that this is a role within our corporate services and as such the candidate will be expected to work all year round including the term time holidays.
