Job description

MCS Group are delighted to be partnering with this large public sector organisation in their search for a HR Officer.

The role:

  • Coordinate monthly transfer of information between HR and Payroll, prepare reports and follow up with queries.
  • Ensure employee records are updated, and documentation is issued to employees.
  • Support regular payroll reconciliation processes.
  • Assist in ensuring staff records are kept in accordance with data protection guidelines.
  • Provide advice and guidance to employees including annual leave entitlement, year end processes, family leave entitlements among other areas.
  • Attend disciplinaries, grievance and Dignity at Work meetings in a note taking capacity and compile records as required.
  • Assist with coordination and administration of recruitment processes.
  • Participate in interviews as required.
  • Assist in preparation and delivery of the induction programmes.
  • Management of Occupational Health referrals.
  • Assist in the implementation of staff Health and Wellbeing Strategy.
  • Update and maintain HR records and systems.

The Person

As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

Essential

  • A relevant University Degree or professional qualification.
  • CIPD qualification or working towards (Level 3)
  • Experience advising and working in a HR environment with administrative experience of HR payroll processing.

Desirable

  • Previous experience using HR Information Systems and E-recruitment portals.
  • CIPD Level 5.
