Job Title: HR Manager – UK (Fixed Term)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Manager for a 12 months fixed term contract to join our dynamic team. The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes in the UK.

This role will support business needs and ensure the proper implementation of company strategy and objectives. This position will report to Global Head of HR and is largely an independent contributor role with support from off-shore HR teams.

What will you do?

Responsibilities:

  1. Employee Relations: Address and resolve employee issues and conflicts. Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution strategies.
  2. Performance Management: Oversee the performance appraisal process, ensuring that employees receive regular feedback and development opportunities.
  3. Training and Development: Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  4. Compensation and Benefits: Align with global compensation and benefits lead to ensure competitive offerings.
  5. Compliance: Ensure compliance with UK employment laws and regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices and legal requirements.
  6. HR Policies and Procedures: Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures. Ensure that all HR activities are aligned with company goals and objectives.
  7. Health and Safety: Promote a safe and healthy work environment. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  8. HR Systems and Reporting: Maintain HR systems and records. Generate reports and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
  9. Payroll: Manage the monthly payroll process with external partner.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. University Degree in HR related field, Psychology, Economics, Business Administration
  2. Proven experience in a similar role within a matrix structure business.
  3. Strong knowledge of local legislation.
  4. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  6. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  7. Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
