Job description

A dynamic commercial real estate business in the City of London is looking for an experienced HR Manager to join its growing team on a 3-month temporary contract, with the potential to transition into a permanent role.

The ideal candidate will be immediately available and have experience working in an SME environment in a standalone HR role or within a small HR team. Please note that this role will be fully office-based.

Key Responsibilities

As HR Manager, you will lead the department and drive HR strategy at an executive level, working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team. You’ll operate as a trusted advisor to the business, providing commercially minded HR guidance and demonstrating strong business acumen. You will be involved in introducing new AI tools and systems to enhance efficiency and streamline processes, enabling you to focus on proactive and strategic senior recruitment while ensuring legislative compliance to safeguard the business.

Your key responsibilities as HR Manager will include implementing all aspects of HR strategy in line with business goals and objectives, leading HR functions including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, training and development, and HR compliance. You will assist with the implementation of a new HRIS system and stay informed about HR best practices and legislative changes.

Key Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be CIPD Level 7 qualified with proven experience working in an SME environment, ideally supporting or partnering closely with a CEO or business leader. You’ll be confident in your ability to influence at senior level, have in-depth knowledge of HR best practices and UK employment law, and demonstrate a strategic approach to developing and implementing HR initiatives that align with commercial objectives.

Benefits

The salary on offer is £345.27 per day (umbrella), reflecting an £80,000 equivalent annual salary inclusive of holiday pay.
