HR Manager - Talent Consulting Centre of Excellence (CoE)
14 Month Secondment/ Fixed-term Contract
Level 3 - Assistant Director
Location - London or Birmingham
Hybrid working - Currently minimum 1-2 days per week in the office
The opportunity
Part of the Talent Consulting function, responsible for providing a responsive and insightful service to our Service Line Strategic Talent Consultants. The role emphasizes driving change management projects that deliver consistent and efficient processes with multiple Service Line Talent teams.
This is a generalist HR role including activities such as year-end and mid-year reviews (LEAD), pay reviews, succession planning, promotions, D&I initiatives, listening tools, and engagement projects. Occasionally, restructuring programs involving TUPE and redundancy will be required.
Your key responsibilities
- Lead EY automation skill developments, such as GenAI, and identify opportunities for streamlined, digital solutions to improve the experience for our employees.
- Ensure timely and professional delivery of LEAD cycles, year-end, and pay planning activities across the region.
- Project manage restructuring activities like TUPE and redundancy, collaborating with relevant teams and legal counsel.
- Manage portfolios across UK&I and UK FS Service Lines, including CBS, Executives, PAS, EMEIA CoEs, and affiliated businesses, delivering HR activities and initiatives.
- Prepare and deliver talent-related briefings and webinars.
- Collaborate with Talent Analytics to prepare presentations on LEAD results, including DE&I metrics, for review by Service Line teams.
- Lead or support service line initiatives such as Core HR, flexible working, talent development, and D&I programs.
- Handle non-standard queries like retention bonuses, policy exceptions, and sickness leave issues.
- Coordinate with other HR functions to meet business and program needs.
- Respond to emergent priorities like COVID-19 related support.
- Engage regularly with FS and UK&I STCs to align on business needs.
- Build trusted relationships with Partners and Senior Managers across service lines.
- Support HR Advisors in delivering high-quality stakeholder services, including coaching and activity management.
Skills and attributes for success
- Experience with change management and design thinking, leading talent projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Interest and knowledge of GenAI and other technologies like Microsoft 365 to enhance HR practices.
- Understanding of Diversity and Inclusion practices and leadership.
- Experience in strategic decision-making, planning, and operational events.
- Ability to influence at all organizational levels, ideally in a professional services setting.
- Resilient, practical, proactive, and team-oriented.
- Coaching and advising skills for senior stakeholders.
- Up-to-date knowledge of contemporary HR practices.
- Experience with Employee Relations, redundancy, TUPE, and UK employment law.
Ideally, you'll also have
- A postgraduate qualification in Business or Human Resources.
