Job description

Job Title: Human Resources (HR) Manager - Part time

Hours: 30 hours per week (operating within 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday)

Salary: £40,000 pro rata + benefits

Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire - on site daily

About the Role

Are you an established HR Manager or an experienced HR Generalist confident in taking a leading HR role in a fast-paced, dynamic environment? This autonomous, generalist HR Manager role (30 hours per week) involves overseeing all aspects of Human Resources. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will support the development and implementation of effective HR strategies aligned with the company's vision and values. You will work closely with the leadership team to embed recruitment, development, and employee relations processes.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will be CIPD level 5 qualified or equivalent, with a proven track record in a similar role, preferably within manufacturing. You should have a strong understanding of HR best practices, current employment law, and experience managing change. Excellent communication, customer engagement skills, and the ability to handle challenging situations are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage daily HR operations, ensuring legal compliance.
  2. Collaborate with management to develop HR strategies considering staff requirements and development needs.
  3. Handle complex employee relations cases, including disputes, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
  4. Ensure HR policies and procedures are current, compliant, and aligned with ACAS guidance.
  5. Oversee recruitment activities across departments, including advertising, liaising with agencies, and conducting interviews.
  6. Work with line managers on training needs analysis and development plans.
  7. Provide guidance on Employee Relations matters to minimize business impact.
  8. Conduct salary benchmarking and advise on progression.
  9. Implement and manage the annual performance review process.
  10. Assist with monthly payroll administration.
  11. Maintain accurate employee records and data management.
