The Bukola Group is seeking a standalone HR Manager to lead the HR function from Thame, working closely with senior leadership to shape and improve people processes. You will own end-to-end HR operations and partner with stakeholders to drive improvements across the organisation.

Based in Thame with occasional travel to other UK and European locations, this hands-on role requires a proactive HR professional capable of managing a broad remit and ensuring compliance with employment law.

  • Managing the employee lifecycle from onboarding through to offboarding
  • Ensuring HR policies, procedures and documentation remain compliant and up to date
  • Supporting organisational change initiatives where required
  • Maintaining HR records, reporting and compliance requirements
  • Driving improvements to HR processes, systems and employee experience
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders to provide practical and commercially focused HR advice

Job description

The Bukola Group is delighted to be partnering with a growing and ambitious business to recruit a standalone HR Manager for a newly created opportunity based in Thame.

This is an excellent role for a hands-on HR professional who enjoys operating across the full employee lifecycle while working closely with senior leadership to shape and improve people processes. The successful candidate will have the autonomy to manage the HR function while influencing positive change across the organisation.

The Opportunity

Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering both operational and strategic HR support across the business. This is a standalone position requiring someone who is confident working independently, building strong stakeholder relationships, and driving continuous improvement.

Based in the area of Thame, you will occasionally travel to other company locations within the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing all day-to-day HR operations

About You

We're looking for an organised, proactive and resilient HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

You will bring:

  • Previous experience in a standalone HR Manager or Senior HR Generalist role
  • Strong employee relations knowledge and practical employment law experience
  • The ability to work independently and confidently manage a broad HR remit
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience influencing and supporting senior leaders
  • A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify and implement better ways of working
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • CIPD qualification (preferred)
