This is a fantastic opportunity to play a senior role in a business that values HR as a true partner to operations. As HR Manager, you'll lead a small, capable HR team on site and work closely with the leadership team to deliver both local and global HR initiatives that make a real difference.

Job Description

As the most senior HR professional on site, you will:

  • Lead, coach, and support a local HR team (including HR Business Partners and a Generalist).
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, ensuring alignment between people strategy and business goals.
  • Take responsibility for all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, development, performance management, reward, and employee relations.
  • Drive employee engagement and support a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Implement global HR programmes at a local level, ensuring they're fit for purpose and fully embedded.
  • Manage change initiatives and support the adoption of new systems, processes, and ways of working.
  • Ensure legal compliance and uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.

The Successful Applicant

A successful HR Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in human resources within the industrial/ manufacturing and production industry.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in using HR systems and tools to manage data effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience in managing or participating in organisational change initiatives.
  • Available to work on site in the Stockport area.
