Job description

Were a well respected international brand name manufacturer of precision engineering components looking to find our new, standalone HR Manager / HR Business Partner for the UK. This is a multi-site, multi-function, senior HR position tasked with driving the future of UK operations. You will need to be organized, process-driven, and a true thought leader and driver of change.

Salary: Up to GBP 65,000

Location: Home-based role covering sites across the UK. Travel will be required; flexibility is essential. Ideally, you will be centrally based with easy access to the M1/M6 network.

Role Purpose: HR Manager / HR Business Partner / People and Culture Manager – Manufacturing

Implement strategic people and culture initiatives aligned with global business needs, tailored to the UK sites. Own and drive the people agenda, working closely with UK and overseas senior personnel to provide counsel and ensure consistent messaging across the business.

Key Tasks:

  • Report to the HR Group Lead and implement global initiatives locally.
  • Support approximately 180 colleagues across four sites and remote workers, engaging at all levels from shop floor to senior leadership.
  • Provide knowledge support on legislation and innovative HR approaches.
  • Manage employee relations cases, fostering a positive environment.
  • Contribute to workforce engagement, staffing, succession planning, policy creation, fleet management, and compensation and benefits implementation.

Person Specification:

  • Experience championing people, culture, and wellbeing initiatives, with methods to engage, promote, train, and develop the workforce.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification preferred, with a commercial, business-partnering approach.
  • Independent and self-sufficient, with up-to-date knowledge of technology and methodologies.
  • Experience in a standalone or multi-site role with around 120+ employees, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Proven track record demonstrating successful HR initiatives and results.
