HR Manager - Dungannon - Manufacturing

MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing manufacturing client based in Dungannon, seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to lead their people and compliance functions. This is a key leadership role where you'll take ownership of the full HR agenda, while also playing a critical role in supporting and promoting a strong health, safety, and compliance culture across the site.

The role:

This role is a Generalist HR role with responsibility for both HR operations and supporting health & safety compliance initiatives. You'll partner with line managers to ensure a safe, legally compliant, and high-performing work environment.

The main responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end HR function: recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training & development.

  • Provide clear guidance to line managers on HR and employment law matters.

  • Support and promote employee engagement, retention, and wellbeing initiatives.

  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures across the site.

  • Maintain accurate HR records and reporting, including absence and performance data.

  • Support the coordination and communication of health & safety policies and procedures in line with legal obligations.

  • Work closely with H&S advisors and operational managers to drive a culture of safety awareness and compliance.

  • Assist with accident investigations, risk assessments, and audits where appropriate.

  • Champion best practices in HR and H&S compliance.

The ideal candidate:

  • Proven experience in an HR generalist role, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Experience working in a unionised environment (desirable).
  • Working knowledge and practical hands on experience of NI employment legislation and HR best practices.

  • Familiarity with health & safety responsibilities in the workplace (e.g. risk assessments, incident reporting).

  • CIPD qualified or working towards (desirable).
