Job Description

Reporting to the HR Director, the HR Manager will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing management of complex employee relations activities and casework
  • Training and coaching managers in employment legislation, application of HR policies and performance management issues
  • Developing and implement HR policies and procedures in line with organisational objectives.
  • Implementing a learning and development plan, identifying and addressing key areas for improvement
  • Overseeing recruitment activity and campaigns, including management of recruitment budgets
  • Monitor and analyse HR metrics to inform strategic decision-making
  • Undertaking periodic payroll input and checking activities

The Successful Applicant

The successful HR Manager will have experience of end-to-end complex employee relations and a strong understanding in the application of HR Policies, employment legislation and best practice.You should be able to demonstrate exposure of dealing with change management processes including reorganisations and other relevant HR projects as well as dealing with and influencing senior stakeholders.Excellent communication skills are essential.

What's on Offer

  • A salary range of £40,000 to £45,000 per annum, plus an excellent benefits package including access to the Civil Service Pension scheme with an employer contribution of 28.97% , discretionary bonus, subsidised staff restaurant/coffee bar.
