Oakleaf is proud to be partnering with a boutique consultancy in their search for a new HR Manager. This role will suit a strong generalist that likes operational HR and knows how to implement a solid foundation of HR processes and governance. This role will have one direct report.
What is the role?
Our client is seeking a collaborative and agile HR Manager to join their growing company. In this role, you will work closely with the directors and senior leadership team to ensure our HR service supports our business objectives and creates an exceptional employee experience. You will be expected to respond quickly and effectively to HR queries, fostering a supportive and responsive culture across the business.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, enjoys building strong relationships at all levels, and is highly responsive to the needs of the business. You will have a focus on HR process and compliance, talent acquisition, skills development and retention, while partnering with our admin and payroll providers to ensure smooth operations in those areas.
Candidate Profile
You will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR Business Partner or HR Manager role, preferably within and SME environment where hiring and talent is a key concern. Ideally you will have experience in the construction, engineering or design industries.
You will have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with directors and senior leadership teams. Ability to handle multiple priorities and respond quickly to time-sensitive HR queries is a must.
A deep knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and organisational development is required, as well as experience in talent management, employee relations and performance management.
Experience with Employment Hero (or other similar HR software) to manage people data and reporting is required.
Ideally you will have experience of directly managing people.
