Job summary

CheltPro in Cheltenham is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead day-to-day HR across a growing workforce in production, warehouse, technical and operations. This hands-on role combines HR expertise with commercial awareness to support senior management and drive people initiatives.

The successful candidate will have senior HR experience, strong knowledge of UK employment law, and proven ability in recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, and policy development.

Qualifications

• Senior-level HR experience in a similar role.
• Experience as HR Manager, HRBP or similar.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Experience managing recruitment and onboarding.
• Experience handling employee relations matters.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Practical, hands-on and commercially aware.
• Experience in manufacturing or operational environments is advantageous.

We are recruiting an experienced HR Manager for a successful and rapidly growing specialist business based in Cheltenham. With continued expansion, investment and further recruitment planned, this is an important appointment supporting a growing workforce across production, warehouse, technical, commercial and operational functions. This is a broad, hands-on HR role requiring someone who can combine strong HR knowledge with a practical and commercially aware approach, working closely with senior management to support both employees and the wider business.

The Role

Responsibilities will include:

About You

We are looking for someone with:

• Previous senior-level HR experience
• Experience as an HR Manager, HR Business Partner or similar
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
• Experience managing recruitment and onboarding
• Experience dealing confidently with employee relations matters
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The confidence to advise and appropriately challenge managers
• A practical, hands-on and commercially aware approach

Experience within manufacturing, engineering, logistics, construction or another operational environment would be particularly advantageous. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate proven reliability, strong references and an appreciation of the importance of safety and compliance within an operational environment.
