Job description

Working with a well-known manufacturer in East Riding, we are searching for a temporary HR manager to support across several sites to cover long term sickness. Supporting a small team across 2 main sites, the successful candidate will be available immediately and be looking for an opportunity to support and manage this team and provide insight on an ongoing basis. Working across offices in both East & North Yorkshire, the successful candidate will be available immediately and be able to commit to this ongoing temporary position.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Significantly contribute to the Group HR practices & objectives
  2. Consistently focus on engendering a high-performance culture
  3. Leading the Human Resources team to deliver a comprehensive HR service to the business.
  4. Line management of Human Resources team including training, career development & appraisals
  5. Keep job descriptions up to date, accurate and relevant to assist the performance management programme
  6. Implementing the training and development agenda; identify areas that need attention and improvement
  7. Measuring employee satisfaction and identifying areas that require improvement
  8. Managing talent and succession planning, taking over all responsibility for talent acquisition
  9. Implementation of services, policies & programmes
  10. Actively manage with the support of the HR team all Employee relations issues
  11. Works closely with Management and employees to improve work relationships, support morale and increase productivity and retention.
  12. Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and retention of people.
  13. Coaching managers on performance management issues and providing development guidance for their teams.
  14. Develop & maintain relationships with appropriate external parties
  15. Ensure & facilitate thorough communication with the wider business & the rest of the Management Team to add maximum value to customer service
  16. Working in a culture that encourages Respect, Boldness, performance, ethical conduct, open communication & commitment to compliance

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Manager who can be available at short notice to support on this ongoing basis. Due to the locations of all sites, a car driver is essential.

Minimum Requirements
  1. Proven HR Management background
  2. CIPD Level 5 or 7
  3. Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality
  4. Excellent written & spoken communication skills, able to remain calm under pressure
  5. Confident IT skills, proven record of using all Microsoft programmes
  6. General knowledge of various employment laws & practices
  7. Experience in administration of HR programmes
  8. Exemplary organisational skills, always maintaining discretion & tactfulness
