This pivotal role will focus on recruitment, employee relations, and HR compliance, ensuring their workforce is engaged, supported, and fully aligned with legal and industry standards.

About the role
  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition - Lead end-to-end hiring for site and office roles, developing strategies to attract skilled tradespeople, engineers, and professionals.
  • Employee Relations - Act as a trusted advisor to staff and managers, resolving workplace issues promptly and positively, and fostering a collaborative culture.
  • HR Compliance & Policies - Ensure adherence to employment law, health & safety regulations, and company policies, keeping our practices legally sound and up to date.
  • Workforce Planning - Partner with leadership to anticipate project staffing needs and support long-term workforce development.
  • Training & Development - Support staff growth through onboarding, skills programs, and career progression initiatives.
Benefits

The salary will be dependent on the level of exposure to the construction industry. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary in the region of up to £80k DOE. In addition to the basic salary there will be further company benefits.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a HR Manager or Head of HR (preferably in construction or related industries).
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and people management skills.
  • A hands-on recruiter with the ability to attract top talent in a competitive market.
  • CIPD qualification (or working towards) desirable
