A dynamic recruitment agency is looking for an HR Manager to join their team in Chelmsford. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply both strategic and operational HR skills. Responsibilities include managing HR queries, leading HR strategy, and overseeing the full employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a standalone HR role, strong knowledge of UK employment law, and excellent communication skills. I am currently recruiting for a dynamic HR Manager for a business committed to excellence in their industry, while creating a positive and people-first culture internally. This is an exciting opportunity for a HR professional who thrives on both strategic and operational responsibilities, and who is confident working independently while being supported by a trusted external HR consultancy.

Responsibilities:
As a HR Manager, you will:

  • Act as the first point of contact for all HR-related queries, providing accurate advice in line with current employment legislation
  • Lead and implement HR strategy aligned with the company’s goals and values
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding
  • Support managers with performance reviews, absence management, disciplinary and grievance processes
  • Maintain and develop HR policies, procedures, and documentation while ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements

Requirements:
As a HR Manager, you will need:

  • Proven experience in a standalone HR role or similar position
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
  • Comfortable managing both strategic projects and hands-on day-to-day HR administration
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience working within a fast-paced SME or similar environment is desirable
