Key Information

Salary: Up to £36,000 per annum
Location: Farnborough / Manchester / UK-Remote

Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, you’ll collaborate on exciting projects, as the Company focuses on establishing a revised people strategy for and beyond.

The right candidate will take a hands-on approach and balance a data-driven mindset with warmth and personability. You’ll liaise with colleagues across the UK, Spain, and Hungary, so the ability to respect differences and work across global teams is imperative.

The role is initially for a 6-month fixed term period, with the possibility of extension.

This is a great opportunity for someone with 2-3 years of relevant experience, either in a similar position or having gained invaluable experience in an entry-level role.

What You’ll Do

As an HR Generalist at One Beyond UK, you’ll provide full support to the business and teams on all HR matters; guiding colleagues and managing the day-to-day UK HR functions.

Main Functions & Responsibilities

  • Manage the employee lifecycle: streamline processes from recruitment to off-boarding, analyze data to improve employee experience and retention.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employees, managing the UK HR inbox and addressing queries efficiently and empathetically.
  • Identify and resolve employee relations issues, fostering a positive company culture.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, utilizing and optimizing the HRIS system.
  • Handle personnel files and documentation related to employees.
  • Assist in recruitment efforts, source candidates, oversee selection, and promote diversity and inclusion in hiring practices.
  • Guide management on performance issues, disciplinary procedures, and grievances in line with UK employment law.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, update policies, and conduct audits to mitigate legal risks.
  • Support ongoing HR projects, driving efficiencies and improvements.
  • Collaborate with finance to ensure payroll accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Manage appraisal and review processes, supporting managers in feedback and development.
  • Work with the Academy Team to support learning and development initiatives.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years HR experience in a similar or entry-level position
  • Working towards CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in HR software and MS Office
  • Experience managing HRIS systems (desirable)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Organized, calm, and able to prioritize tasks effectively

Location

Remote work with options for hybrid working at our UK offices in Farnborough and Manchester. Attendance in person may be required for team meetings or company events.

Salary & Benefits

Up to £36,000 per year, dependent on experience, plus benefits including 25 days holiday, pension scheme, flexible working, health insurance, maternity/paternity leave, Cycle to Work, extra charity day, fitness activities, social events, and more.
