Job summary

Chromalloy is looking for a hands-on HR Generalist to support the TSL site in Glasgow and provide HR services across the Netherlands for CHOL. This full-time, site-based role focuses on the full employee lifecycle, records management, recruitment, onboarding, and UK employment law compliance.

You will work with local and international colleagues, maintain HR systems (Dayforce), and collaborate with Payroll, Finance and site leadership to deliver accurate HR services across both sites.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years as HR Generalist or similar role.
• Knowledge of UK employment law.
• Experience across full employee lifecycle.
• Experience with recruitment, onboarding and HR systems.
• Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication.
• Dutch language proficiency required to support CHOL.
• Capable of working independently and with international team.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR generalist support at the Glasgow site.

• Coordinate lifecycle administration: hires, changes, absences, benefits, and leavers.

• Prepare HR reports for workforce planning and compliance.
• Collaborate with Payroll, Finance, site leadership, and HR colleagues.
• Contribute to standardisation of HR processes across sites.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The HR Generalist will provide hands‑on HR support to the TSL site in Glasgow and contribute to the continued growth of our UK operation. The role will also provide HR administrative support to CHOL in the Netherlands, working closely with local and international colleagues to deliver accurate, timely, and consistent HR services across both sites. This is a full‑time, site‑based position in Glasgow. The successful candidate will support the full employee lifecycle, maintain HR records and systems, assist with recruitment and onboarding, and help ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and company policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide day‑to‑day HR generalist support to managers and employees at the TSL Glasgow site.
• Support CHOL with HR administration and cross‑site coordination, ensuring accurate and timely follow‑up.
• Maintain employee records and HR systems, ensuring data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with data protection requirements.
• Coordinate employee lifecycle administration, including new starters, contractual changes, absence records, benefits, and leavers.
• Support recruitment activities, including vacancy administration, interview coordination, candidate communication, offers, pre‑employment checks, and onboarding.
• Provide first‑line guidance on HR policies, procedures, and routine employee relations matters, escalating complex cases where appropriate.
• Support performance management, training, employee engagement, and wellbeing activities.
• Prepare HR reports and data to support decision‑making, workforce planning, and compliance requirements.
• Work collaboratively with Payroll, Finance, site leadership, and global HR colleagues.
• Contribute to the improvement and standardisation of HR processes across TSL and CHOL.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• 3 to 5 years of experience in an HR generalist or comparable HR role.
• Practical knowledge of UK employment law and employment regulations.
• Experience supporting HR administration across the employee lifecycle.
• Experience with recruitment, onboarding, employee records, and HR systems.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in Dutch is required to support effective collaboration and administration for CHOL.
• Confidence working independently while collaborating effectively within an international HR team.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• A degree or professional qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• CIPD qualification or active progress toward CIPD accreditation.
• Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, or multi‑site environment.
• Experience with Dayforce or a comparable HR information system.
• Experience supporting employees and stakeholders across the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.
