Role: HR Generalist - Permanent - Belfast

Job Overview
VANRATH are pleased to be working in partnership with a leading organisation based in Belfast to recruit an experienced HR Generalist. This is an exciting opportunity for a well-rounded HR professional to support all aspects of the employee lifecycle, with a focus on operational HR delivery and continuous improvement.

  • Salary: Up to £36,000
  • Full time, permanent
  • Hybrid working available

What you'll do:

  • Provide generalist HR support across the business, ensuring alignment with company policies and employment legislation.
  • Manage the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contract administration, probation reviews, and exit processes.
  • Support the recruitment process by drafting job descriptions, liaising with hiring managers, arranging interviews, and managing candidate communications.
  • Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, staff wellbeing programmes, and internal communications.
  • Maintain and update HR systems and personnel records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Advise managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practice.
  • Assist with learning and development initiatives, including scheduling training and tracking completion.
  • Support performance management processes, including appraisal coordination and improvement plans.
  • Help develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Prepare regular reports on key HR metrics, including absence, turnover, and recruitment.
  • Participate in HR projects focused on improving operational efficiency and employee experience.

What you'll need:

  • 2+ years' experience in an HR Generalist or similar HR support role.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards) is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and NI employment legislation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
