HR & Finance Assistant

Are you looking for an HR role full of variety and development opportunities?

Our client, a successful local organisation in the Engineering industry, are currently looking for a driven and organised HR & Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Role
As HR & Finance Assistant, you'll provide day-to-day support across a range of HR and office functions, with a focus on employee lifecycle, training, payroll and finance support. This is a great opportunity for a junior HR professional who is eager to grow in a varied and hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, performance and attendance, and perform continuous tracking and reporting
  • Support Training and Health and Safety managers with coordination and delivery, and maintain accurate records
  • Assist the finance team with payroll functions, expenses, and ledger processing
  • Involvement with compliance, audit prep, and weekly management reporting
  • Liaise with sales, teams to ensure all activities are recorded and actioned
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Financial Controller

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in an HR assistant role, ideally within a fast-paced environment
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • A team player with strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Ideally holding a CIPD qualification or relevant HR/business-related degree
