HR, Finance and Premises Officer - Robertswood School

Location: Chalfont St Peter

The successful candidate will be someone with a passion and enthusiasm for the success of Robertswood

Term time only: Yes

Salary Type: Bucks pay

Salary details: Range 2 11-15 dependant upon experience

Contract type: Fixed Term

The role will offer a varied role. An element of the duties are listed below

Front of House :

• To provided appropriate general secretarial support and admin
• The full range of word processing/typing services.
• Post – incoming and outgoing
• Dealing with a range of correspondence on behalf of the Headteacher and/or members of the SLT, teachers and subject leads
• Photocopying
• General filing
• In conjunction with all Admin and Finance staff, ensure that the “switchboard” and reception point is staffed throughout the school day and where necessary, messages are taken and referred accordingly
• Check and action/distribute any messages from parents

Human Resources:

•To take responsibility for the entry of staff absence and attendance data on a weekly basis and provide high quality advice/information for Headteacher and Governing Board on assessment of sickness.
• To use systems such as SIMS and E-Forms
• Filing
• To manage the booking of supply for staff Including lunchtime and liaise with duty manager to finalise arrangements
• To be available for staff as a point of contact in relation to reporting illness and absence for school, and to arrange and contact supply cover.

Finance:

• To work in conjunction with the School Business Manager on all aspects of finance and business matters of the school.
• Raise invoices termly for:
- Nursery
- Casual lettings
- After School club
- Breakfast club
• Ensure correct documentation is received for casual lettings.
• Trips – organise quotes for coaches and anything else relating to school trips to ensure trips are costed accurately.

Premises:
•. To support School Business Manager in relation to premises.
• Contribute to premises policies and ensure compliance.
• Adhere to health & safety guidelines for schools, liaising with the local authority to receive guidance where required.
•. To support School Business Manager to gather correct paperwork for Premises Governing Board meetings.
