Level: Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship

Degree: Chartered Management Degree, University of West London (Tuition fully covered!)

Duration: 3 years + final project

Work/Study: 4 days at L'Oréal, 1 day at university

About The Team

You'll join our friendly four-person Corporate HR Cost Controlling team. They're the financial guardians of L'Oréal, making sure money is spent wisely on our people. This is a very financially-focused role, giving you a strong foundation in business finance. We work closely with finance and HR teams across the company.

What You'll Do

  • Manage budgets: Keep track of how much we spend on our people, especially external staff. This involves a lot of financial analysis and planning.
  • Predict spending: Use financial forecasting techniques to estimate future costs.
  • Analyse data: Dive deep into financial data, find trends, and explain what's happening. You'll become a pro at using spreadsheets and financial reports.
  • Create reports: Become a reporting whiz using systems like SAP and Compass (we'll train you!). These reports will be used for key financial decisions.
  • Present findings: Confidently share your financial insights with different teams, explaining complex data in a simple way.
  • Work on special projects: Contribute to other finance-related projects, like analysing costs for employees working abroad.

Who You'll Work With

You'll collaborate with HR and finance teams across L'Oréal, including our international team in Madrid.

  • Strong interest in finance: This role is heavily finance-focused, so a genuine interest in this area is essential.
  • Numbers know-how: Comfortable with spreadsheets, basic math, and financial concepts.
  • Organized & detail-oriented: Able to manage lots of information and spot key details, crucial for accurate financial reporting.

  • Eager to learn: Excited to pick up new financial skills and systems.
  • Previous experience in finance/cost control

  • Have GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade C (4, or equivalent)
  • Have achieved a BBC at A level or equivalent in International baccalaureate or other courses.
