At Stirling Council, our People services are key in supporting our organisation and our people in overcoming the challenges we face. We know it is critical for us to build these services to ensure that we have a People function with the resource and talent required to help achieve our council’s aims and ambitions. Our key priorities include driving forward best practice in policy and processes; delivering fully on our commitment to the Scottish Fair Work framework; and developing and embedding innovative and forward-thinking practice, all to effectively support the vital work we do for Stirling’s communities.
As HR Corporate Lead, you will lead on the modernisation of Stirling Council’s HR Services and lead the development and co-ordination of programmes of work which review what we do and maximise opportunities which build organisational capacity and support business transformation. You will ensure the Council and Council services are supported with HR policy, process and advice which drives and enables a culture of improvement and best practice.
We are looking for an HR leader with experience of leading on corporate initiatives which have an organisational impact, as well as Chartered membership of CIPD. You will have extensive experience in a generalist HR position or equivalent with responsibility for continuous improvement. Key to this role will be the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of, and across the organisation, therefore you will demonstrate your communication and consultation skills, with the ability to communicate and build relationships with senior managers, trade unions, services and colleagues.
