Our HR Services - Education team is growing, and we are looking for a pragmatic and ambitious HR professional who enjoys delivering a client-focused service to clients within the education sector, specifically schools and academies. This role supports the Senior HR Consultants and the Head of HR Services in developing HR consultancy services for the education sector.

Our team of legal and HR specialists has extensive education knowledge and experience, and is highly regarded, consistently featured in Band One of the Legal 500 and Chambers UK listings. Our core approach is to help education clients do what is right for their pupils and their organization as a whole.

This role focuses on building excellent relationships with clients at all levels, providing pragmatic, sector-oriented advice aligned with client interests and national best practices. You will also build strong relationships with colleagues, fostering team spirit and contributing to the ongoing development of our services to the education sector.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide pragmatic HR advisory services to clients on complex employee relations and HR issues.
  2. Deliver exceptional client service, maintaining client focus in all activities.
  3. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, guiding them to successful completion.
  4. Stay updated on sector developments to ensure advice remains compliant and sector-specific.
  5. Lead ad-hoc client projects, including investigations and generalist HR activities.
  6. Manage complex casework and provide telephone and email support.
  7. Supervise HR Advisors as needed.
  8. Prepare for pitches and tender presentations.
  9. Create content and deliver training sessions for clients.
  10. Develop and update precedent documentation based on legislative changes and sector initiatives.
  11. Review existing documentation for compliance and best practices.
  12. Represent the firm at conferences and events as a credible speaker.
  13. Write blog posts and advisory articles for firm publications and sector websites.
  14. Build trusted advisor relationships with clients, managing annual HR service renewals.
  15. Manage client files, ensuring accurate billing and timely communication regarding invoices.
  16. Record all activities accurately in the firm’s time recording system, in line with policy.
