Job description

IMH Recruitment are looking for a reliable HR consultant for our client based in Rotherham.

Job Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic HR Consultant to work within the HR Consultancy Team which provides a high level of customer service across the four directorates of the Council. The team are the first point of contact for customers for HR advice and guidance, ensuring high standards of customer care at all times.

Role and Responsibilities:
  1. Casework support linked to all aspects of the employee life cycle (for example recruitment, capability, disciplinary, grievance, Dignity at Work, redundancy, retirement).
  2. Supporting organisational change across the Council and with partner organisations.
  3. Providing advice on the Council's policy framework, maternity, paternity, and other types of absence.
  4. Providing accurate management information and data analysis to inform workforce planning.
  5. Planning and delivery of learning events on a range of HR topics.
  6. Development of HR policies and procedures.
  7. Previous experience in a HR role.
  8. Level 5 or 6 Qualification e.g Bachelor Degree, Graduate Certificate and Diplomas.
Hours & Pay:
  1. 37 Hours per week.
  2. Monday - Friday (8am-4pm or 9am-5pm usually but, hours will be confirmed at interview stage).
  3. £17.79 Per hour.
  4. Opportunity to work hybrid once training has been completed.

If you enjoy working closely with others, possess good IT skills, have excellent communication skills, and experience in a Human Resources Consultancy role, then this could be the perfect position for you. Ideally, you should have or be working towards the (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, CIPD) qualification.
