Key responsibilities include:

  • Participating in projects to improve employee engagement, develop succession plans, and support corporate initiatives.
  • Providing HR support and advice to line and functional leaders on ethical and legislative compliance, performance management, compensation, and HR systems.
  • Reviewing and implementing Alcoa standards and processes, including policy review and change management.
  • Developing recommendations for policy and process improvements to maintain best practices.
  • Maintaining expert knowledge of current and proposed legislation and changes.
  • Advising, coaching, and assisting senior management on employee relations matters.
  • Developing and delivering employee relations training to all organizational levels, focusing on improving relations and proactive approaches.

What’s on offer:

  • Performance-related bonus (variable).
  • 16 weeks paid parental leave scheme.
  • Social and diversity-focused engagement opportunities.

What you can bring to the role:

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, Commercial, or similar, or proven equivalent industry experience in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Significant experience in Human Resources or Employee Relations, with knowledge of legislative compliance, performance management, and HR systems.
  • Experience working with a unionized workforce, or in heavy industry or resources sector, is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and sustain relationships with the site team and internal stakeholders.

Additional Information

  • Interviews may occur before the closing date; all applications will be considered.
  • You will only be contacted if shortlisted for an interview, which may take up to four weeks from the closing date.
