We have an incredible opportunity to join Phoenix Group as an HR Consultant in Group, Retirement Solutions & Asset Management, within our HR Business Partnering team reporting to the Head of HR.

Job Type: 6-month Fixed Term Contract

Location: Based at our Midlands, Edinburgh, or London offices, with a mix of office and home working.

Salary and Benefits: £40,000 - £45,000 plus 8% bonus up to 16%, private medical cover, 38 days annual leave, excellent pension, 12x salary life assurance, flexible working, career breaks, income protection, 3 volunteering days, and more.

The Role

HR plays a vital role in supporting the business to deliver the Group strategy and help people secure a life of possibilities. The HR Consultant will support the HR Business Partnering team by providing high-quality generalist HR support to Heads of HR and HR Business Partners.

Responsibilities
  • Review talent and succession plans
  • Support the annual performance review cycle
  • Coordinate with the People Consultancy team on managing underperformance, long-term sickness, and absences
  • Assist in designing and implementing organizational changes
  • Analyze and report on key people metrics
  • Support project activities and own specific workstreams as appropriate
  • Contribute to early careers and development programs
What We Are Looking For
  • Enthusiasm to develop HR knowledge and experience; prior HR experience is beneficial but not essential
  • Proactive approach to improving HR processes and practices
  • Ability to work independently and think critically
  • Experience engaging with stakeholders at various levels
  • Data management and analysis skills
