Job description

Are you an experienced HR Advisor? Do you enjoy Employee Relations? Are you looking for a new challenge where you can utilise your skills and knowledge? If yes, then this could be the role for you!

Here at GXO, we’re looking for a HR Compliance Specialist to join our ASOS contract in Barnsley. In this role you will support the HR Manager in the delivery of a high-quality service for the site ensuring compliance across the HR function. You’ll act as the main point of contact for all Appeals received across the site and support the Operational HR Manager in the effective management of complex ER and Policy issues as and when the need arises.

This is a full-time, permanent position. You will be required to work Monday to Friday, 08:30 till 17:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  1. Ensuring compliance audits are carried out on a regular basis to understand process compliance within the HR Team
  2. To develop, introduce, support, and review HR department initiatives, procedures, systems, and practices
  3. Devise solutions and practical steps for the organisation to implement and address any issues identified as part of trend analysis
  4. Liaise with the HR Data Analyst to identify reporting requirements to accurately understand key HR metrics
  5. To review, streamline and write HR processes and procedures to maximise efficiency e.g., Employee Handbook, Managers Handbook, HR Policies

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  1. CIPD Qualified with proven experience within a HR Advisory/ER Specialist role
  2. Previous experience working within a Compliance environment or strong understanding of relevant risks and compliance protocols
  3. Experience of managing complex and medium-high risk ER cases to conclusion
  4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
