Haggerston Castle Holiday Park, Berwick-Upon-Tweed
Annual salary + bonus and benefits

Join us as our People Compliance Manager – where doing the right thing really matters.

At Haven, we put people first — and we’re looking for a People Compliance Manager who shares that commitment. In this pivotal role, you’ll be the go-to expert on people compliance, working closely with Park Leadership and our Central People Team to keep our processes sharp, systems efficient, and teams supported. From ensuring every team member has the right to work (from application to onboarding and beyond), to reviewing policies, leading audits, and delivering practical, inclusive training — you’ll help us protect what matters most: our people. If you’re an HR professional with a solid compliance background, a collaborative mindset, and the motivation to make a difference, we’d love to welcome you aboard. Please note this is a fixed-term contract.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Conducting internal audits: overseeing right to work checks, DBS processes, and ensuring GDPR and employment law compliance across the park.
  • Driving process excellence: reviewing and enhancing people processes from recruitment to onboarding and payroll, making sure everything runs smoothly, efficiently, and within the rules.
  • Turning data into action: analysing people data and time attendance records to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Empowering others: guiding, coaching, and influencing leaders to embed compliant practices and ensure all mandatory training is completed.
  • Leading positive change: owning and communicating updates to compliance processes and leading improvements that make a real difference for our teams.

What we’d like you to bring:

  • Compliance knowledge: thorough understanding of UK employment law, right to work, visa requirements, GDPR, and risk management.
  • HR experience: proven background in HR advisory or management, ideally in a complex or matrix environment, with experience handling employee relations and supporting change.
  • Process and systems know-how: familiarity with payroll processes, compliance systems, and managing data with accuracy and integrity.
  • Well-developed influencing and communication skills: skilled at building relationships, coaching stakeholders, and working collaboratively across local and central teams.
  • Values-led leadership: a capable, values-driven professional who leads by example and thrives in a constantly evolving, fast-paced setting.

What’s In It For You?

  • Holiday allowance that rises with service, plus a ‘Holiday Buy Scheme’
  • Annual bonus
  • 20% discount on both Haven and Warner Hotels holidays for you, family, and friends
  • Comprehensive wellbeing support
  • Access to the Bourne Leisure corporate box at the O2 Arena, London
  • Exclusive discounts with corporate partners
  • Exciting career pathways, including Learning and Development opportunities such as Apprenticeships and Degrees
  • Enhanced family-friendly policies and pay (eligibility criteria apply)
