The role offers genuine autonomy, visibility with the senior team, and the chance to influence culture as the business expands, including potential future acquisitions and growing compliance standards.
Ambitious business. Genuine autonomy. The opportunity to shape people and compliance across a growing organisation.
We're working with a highly successful, entrepreneurial business turning over approximately £50 million and established as one of the top three contractors in its sector.
Following significant growth, the business is entering an exciting new chapter, with ambitious plans for expansion, diversification and acquisitions.
We're looking for a commercially minded HR & Compliance Manager who combines strong people management experience with an understanding of compliance in an operational environment.
Working closely with a young, dynamic leadership team, you'll take ownership of the HR function while supporting wider compliance activities alongside an established HSE Manager.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity offering genuine autonomy, influence and the chance to help shape how the business develops.
You’ll be an experienced, approachable and commercially aware HR professional who enjoys being close to the operational side of a business.
You’ll bring strong generalist HR experience, sound knowledge of UK employment legislation and the confidence to advise senior leadership.
Experience within construction, contracting, engineering or another operationally driven environment would be particularly advantageous, especially where workforce compliance, training and accreditation are important.
You might currently be an HR Manager, HR Business Partner or HR & Compliance Manager looking for greater ownership and influence.
CIPD qualifications would be advantageous, along with practical experience of compliance processes. A specialist health and safety qualification is not essential.
This is a genuine opportunity to take ownership of the people function within an ambitious, growing business where your contribution will be visible and valued.
You’ll work directly with senior leadership, have the support of an established HSE Manager and play an important role in building the people processes and compliance standards needed for the next stage of growth.
With flexible working, an attractive package and significant scope to influence how the business develops, this is an opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference.
