An established industry player is seeking an experienced HR Change Lead to drive impactful change across the council. In this role, you will collaborate with senior leaders and HR professionals to lead strategic change initiatives, particularly in restructures. Your expertise in employment law and employee relations will be crucial as you guide managers and support the development of a people-centered HR approach. We’re looking for an experienced HR professional to step into the role of HR Change Lead.

This role is all about leading people-related change activity across the council, particularly restructures. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, HR Business Partners, and colleagues in OD, Digital and Change to deliver a joined-up approach that’s both strategic and grounded.
You’ll guide managers through change processes, help shape policy, and play a key role in building trust and constructive dialogue with our recognised Trade Unions. As part of the HR Centre of Excellence, you’ll also support the development of others in the team and contribute to our wider approach to delivering effective, people-centred HR services.
You will be someone who brings clarity, calm, and confidence to organisational change.
We’re after someone who has a CIPD qualification or equivalent experience, with strong employment law knowledge and a background in handling complex employee relations and change work. You’ll need excellent judgment, a collaborative approach, and the confidence to influence at all levels.
