Job Description

The HRBP will serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the business, supporting the HR Manager in driving the end-to-end human capital agenda across Western National Insurance. This includes ownership of recruitment, performance management, employee relations, learning and development initiatives, and delivering a full generalist HR service. The incumbent will actively contribute to Manco discussions, bringing a people-focused perspective to strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities: Strategic Business Partnering

  • Actively participate in Manco to provide HR insight and support business strategy through a people lens.
  • Translate business needs into targeted HR solutions that align with PSG Group and business unit priorities.
  • Drive implementation of Group HR initiatives while tailoring delivery to meet Western National Insurance’s specific context.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle across various levels.
  • Partner with hiring managers to forecast and fulfil staffing needs proactively.
  • Support talent pipelining and succession planning across business functions.

Performance Management

  • Coordinate and embed the performance review process.
  • Guide managers in setting KPIs, conducting evaluations, and ensuring development actions are tracked.
  • Drive accountability through structured performance feedback cycles.

Employee Relations & Industrial Relations

  • Support and advise managers on employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters.
  • Ensure compliance with labour legislation (LRA, BCEA, EEA, OHSA) and HR policies.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for IR matters and escalate complex cases when necessary.
