HR Business Partner, People Experience and Technology (PXT)

Job ID: 2926433 | Amazon UK Services Ltd.

Creating a culture where all our people feel encouraged and supported is what makes Amazon a great place to work. As an HR Business Partner, you’ll drive a positive employee experience through your detailed grasp of HR programmes, processes, and tools, offering credible and clear HR advice to Amazon’s managers. From resolving complex HR queries with colleagues to perfecting new policies and programmes, you’ll be making a real difference in how Amazon operates.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Own and deliver projects and drive progress towards business goals
  2. Engage and coordinate with key stakeholders on data collection and policy implementation
  3. Resolve high-level employee issues, including grievances, appeals and complex disciplinary issues
  4. Coach and develop HR colleagues and stakeholders across the business
  5. Where relevant, co-ordinate with work councils and unions to drive positive employee relations
  6. Analyse internal dashboards to create reports on key metrics for leadership at your site

A day in the life

HR Business Partners get involved in a wide range of different projects and work with a mix of diverse stakeholders, all with one goal: to make Amazon a great place to work. You’ll be based in an Amazon fulfilment centre, delivery station or sortation centre and will frequently use data to inform key decisions.

From one day to the next, you could be taking the lead on a range of different projects or supporting senior stakeholders with developing strategies and carrying out regular talent reviews. You’ll be taking a fresh look at our working culture and thinking of new ways to optimise them.

You’ll also be supporting new colleagues to develop and learn new skills, so as well as shaping our working culture, you’ll be helping our colleagues grow. There will be plenty of opportunities for you to progress and shape your career at Amazon.

About the team

Customer Fulfilment, or CF, is where it all started for Amazon. CF has scaled up from a humble team of booksellers to a sophisticated global team which handles more than 1.5 million orders every day. The team is the foundation of our business and its efforts have helped us diversify across new regions and services. With the help of emerging technology, we’re always looking for ways to offer a bigger, better product range – delivered quickly and affordably.

The CF team are the first people in the chain that helps customers get products at the speed we’re known for. We’re based in Fulfilment Centres, which are at the heart of Amazon’s fast-paced Operations network. Our centres are sometimes referred to as the ‘First Mile’ because it’s where most Amazon packages start their journey. We help to manage dynamic inventory and facilitate speedy deliveries round the clock.

Lots of different people work in our Fulfilment Centres, so there are plenty of opportunities for every skillset. Some of us work with physical products, while others analyse data to help everyone across the business make smart decisions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. A degree
  2. Relevant experience in an HR role operating in an international, fast-paced and customer-driven environment
  3. Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
  4. Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership
  5. Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English

Preferred qualifications are not required to apply for a position at Amazon. If you have all the basic qualifications above, we’d love to hear from you.
