Job Description:

Are you a Human Resources professional with a passion for employment law, recruitment, conflict resolution, and the ability to train and advise stakeholders in a small but very friendly HR team?

Working 20 hours a week, this could be 10am to 2:00pm over fewer days a week, or 9:30am to 2:30pm for four days a week.

This will be a generalist HR role supporting 60-70 people, where ER knowledge and CIPD Level 7 are essential.

You will be involved in:

  1. Developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and initiatives aligned with overall people and business strategies, goals, and objectives.
  2. Identifying and fostering positive employee relations support by early recognition of business demands, promoting a positive work culture that maximizes employee commitment and engagement while minimizing disputes.
  3. Establishing and maintaining a recruitment and selection process that recognizes areas for EDI improvements, utilizing talent management systems like LinkedIn Recruiter and ATS to meet future resource needs.
  4. Keeping abreast of developing strategies supporting HR functions and business delivery of a skilled workforce through HR data analytics for continuous improvement.
  5. Nurturing a positive and friendly working environment to minimize retention issues and enhance the company's employer brand.
  6. Leading and supporting business transformation programmes with effective communication, considering cultural and process adjustments.
  7. Developing, overseeing, and managing the performance appraisal system to support personal development, salary, and incentives to promote high performance.
  8. Overseeing and supporting the company's remuneration and benefits programme.
  9. Supporting continuous employee development through the employee lifecycle, including ad hoc skills programmes, apprenticeships, graduate, and STEM programmes.
  10. Assessing training needs via recognised skills frameworks and developing employee plans aligned with professional competencies and accreditations.
  11. Reporting HR metrics to business leaders and assisting in developing a company people plan and roadmap aligned with the People Strategy goals.
  12. Ensuring HR & HS legal compliance throughout the business by maintaining professional and legal knowledge, utilizing external support organizations and networks.
  13. Training, mentoring, and developing other HR team members to fulfill their roles and grow their career opportunities within the business.
